Acoustic Revolution Saturday 5th March at The Adelphi- Review

Have you noticed how good beer, good felowship and good music go together so naturally- well they certainly do over at the Adelphi Acoustic Revolution.

As we dropped in Dan Harrison, singer songwriter was performing his first gig solo (Dan is formerly front vocalist for the band Die Video Die).

Danny played intimate rhythms and percussive harmonies on his guitar and sang evocative subtle lyrics in a full fat resonant tone with rich under harmonies lapping a clear melodic voice. Danny was  accompanied by violin virtuoso Kieran O Malley who played haunting accompaniment expressive and dynamic his body writhing and dancing to the pulse of music.

Next up were the band Spirit of John with Joshua Sheard on guitar and vocals and Adam Richardson on double bass. With full rhythmic guitaring and bass beat pulsing Joshua's growling rich voice and Adam's kicking tambourine percussion was infectiously foot tapping engaging the Adelphi's audience. The music uplifting and rocking was fast pushing furious, with up tempo gear changes cranking to explosive climax.Throughout Joshua's body writhing stage presence added an authentic edge of punk to the excitement of the music.
